How do titanium plate manufacturers use the mechanical and physical properties of titanium materials in the process of processing titanium plates:

1. The elastic modulus of titanium is low relative to its tensile properties. Therefore, a large rebound allowance must be considered in forming and roller operation. Because of the low elastic modulus, in order to achieve the same stability, the cross section of titanium parts is slightly larger than that of the same steel parts.

2. Titanium is easy to machine, but in order to consider its biting tendency (larger than stainless steel) and low heat conductivity, the commonly used machining technology and the design of thread and bearing surface must be properly improved. At least have rigid machine tools and sharp cutting tools, use slow speed and large cutting volume, and leave room for chip removal. It is also recommended to use a large amount of cooling lubricant.

3. As titanium is an active metal, it is easy to combine with oxygen in the air when heated above 600 ℃, so it is generally not recommended to use titanium for a long time above this temperature.

4. When the temperature of industrial pure titanium exceeds 150 ~ 200 ℃, the mechanical strength decreases rapidly.

5. The diffusion rate of hydrogen in titanium is faster than that of oxygen. Therefore, before thermal processing, the heating furnace used should have a micro oxidizing atmosphere, which will produce a relatively thin oxide film, but avoid the deep pollution caused by hydrogen.

6. The soft industrial pure titanium sheet is easy to cold form after annealing; Hard industrial pure titanium and Ti2 5Cu needs medium temperature processing, and for Ti6Al4V, the processing temperature is preferably 600 ~ 700 ℃.

7. The composite plate can be obtained by explosive welding of thin titanium plate and thick steel plate, which can be used to manufacture high-pressure and high-temperature vessels and heat exchangers. However, it is not economical to use it to replace the whole titanium or the set of titanium lining plate.
